Will Brandon Smith Stick Around?

Rumors are swirling around about the possible transfer of Brandon Smith. His career to date has been less successful than expected.

Smith came in as a crossover recruit. He was originally recruited by Lloyd and the boys, but decided to maintain his commitment to Rich Rod and staff. Smith came in as a bone crushing safety. Ironically the only bones crushed were his own. After suffering through injuries early in his career, Smith saw his speed diminish running in the 4.8’s in the spring. A move to linebacker appears to disagree with Smith.

Now that things seem to be getting to a point where Smith has fallen behind talent at safety and has struggled to learn to play linebacker, its only natural to wonder if he’ll stay. The way things are looking now it seems to be the most likely scenario.

Forever BLUE!

We weren’t 10 minutes into our drive before we saw our first car load of people going to the game. It’s not hard to tell who we are. We have flags flying, magnets on our cars, each of us draped in maize continue reading…

What”s in the Defensive Cupboard?

Some would argue that a lot of the Wolverines struggles this year can be attributed to a defense that has consistently proven themselves mediocre at best. It’s hard to believe with talent like Brandon Graham, Donovan Warren, Mike Martin, and Stevie Brown, the D would be as inconsistent as its been. Yes, there are two games left in the season with the hopes of a third. After this year, though, what’s next? Brown and Graham have been the most consistent this year and both are seniors. If all the juniors come back, Michigan will return 7 starters to a defense that is statistically worse than last year. continue reading…

This Saturday the Michigan Wolverines will play host to the Purdue Boilermakers. Michigan leads the all-time series 41-13. Its been awhile since Purdue has walked out of the Big House victoriously, 43 years to be exact. 16 consecutive trips to Ann Arbor have ended in defeat. continue reading…
