While this will be Coach R's 3rd season on the sidelines, it will actually be only his second as head coach in terms of recruiting. While I believe he will bring the Blue back to greatness, it will take more than 2 or 3 years of recruiting. Let's suppose that your prediction becomes a fact, i.e., that if M doesn't compete for the Big 10 title next fall that the
Coach will have to pack his bags: where do you suppose that will leave us? Starting all over with a new system and new recruiting focus, perhap? Gee, why don't we change coaches every two years as a matter of policy? That would at least give the gripeing fans something to console themselves with, even though it would never result in a .500 season. Come on people. Coach R inherited a bankrupt system (which is undoubedly when Lloyd retired in such a hurry. You don't turn bankruptcy into a national chamption in 2 or 3 years.
