1st Quarter. 14-3 MICHIGAN!

Michigan kickoff to ND and into the endzone.  Notre Dame moves ball very well on there opppening drive of the game.  ND offense gets all the way down to the ten yard linef and the Michigan D holds them on 3rd down on a QB sneek from Clausen who is stuffed. The Irish go for the 3 point FG and missed.  The Michigan offense and QB Tate Forcier on there first drive go 3 and out and punt back to ND, score still 0-0 with 9:16 in the 1st Qtr.  ND goes 3 and out and punt ball back to Michigan on there 2nd drive of the quarter.  Michigan goes on there 2nd drive of the quarter they start it with an 8 yard gain from Forcier.  Forcier on 3 and 12  throws a pass to # 13 Mathews for a 40 yard gain as Michigan keeps moving the ball down the field.  2 and 9 #4 Minor runs for 22 yards to the goaline. 1st  and goal Michigan as Minor brings it in for the score as Michigan goes for 9 plays 79 yards on the drive, as Michigan goes up 7-0 with 4:11 left.  ND starts off on the 27 yard line and goes 14 yard run by Allen, then go 14 yard pass  to Golden Tate, ND on the 40, as ND throws a screen pass to Allen and runs for a TD, score 7-7 with 2.22 in the 1st.  After all that Coach Rod throws the challenge and the play will come back as he stepped out of bounds 7-0 still.  ND on the 3rd and 5 on the 18 with 50 sec left, clausen throws a fade into the corner of the endzone but throws it to far, so ND goes for the 3 point again and kicks it good, 7-3 Michigan with 46 sec left.  kickoff to stonum and  he runs it to the house for a 94 yard return 14-3 Michigan. 14-3 Michigan at the end of the 1st quarter.
